Course (detailed): You start the hike at the main entrance of the Krems town hall on Pfarrplatz. From there, head west through the narrow Schlüsselamtsgasse to Dominikanerplatz. Along the Dominikanerkirche is the Körnermarkt and at the Dominikanerkloster, in which the tourist information is now housed, is the Schmelzgasse. Cross the city moat and then continue on Alauntalstraße. Via the Kreuzbergstiege turn right into Kreuzbergstraße. After a few meters you will reach a lookout point from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the old town of Krems. Then it goes uphill on the road branching off towards the northwest. You will soon have a beautiful view of the district and the Krems campus. After a while straight ahead and a right turn, you have already reached the cross that is visible from afar. From there you continue to follow the curvy path uphill until you come to a crossing road, into which you turn right. At the next opportunity, turn right again. You are now in the so-called Armesündergraben and arrive at the excursion restaurant "Schwarzalm" after a few meters. Then follow the Armesündergraben downhill until it flows into the Schießstattgasse, where you continue on the path. This alley then turns into the Wachtertorgasse, which leads to the Hohe Markt. Turn left from the Bundesgymnasium to Althangasse, which takes you back to the Pfarrplatz.
